Republic of Rome update
Hello all,
There is a problem with the production of Republic of Rome that is going to delay its delivery until at least October, possibly November. There are a couple issues, with the main boards that we are still working with the printer to get cleared up. The boards don’t sit flat on the table and it has to do with the type of cut they make on the board. The second thing is that we received the plastic trays for the game from another manufacturer and they was a good portion of them crushed and damaged. So those are being remade and sent over. All of these problems along with a few other minor ones delay the printer’s processes and so it causes the projects to be bumped while they do other things. They do still need to make a living too and must keep going. So that leaves us in a situation where we are behind, for us we just want to make sure we keep everyone in the loop.
We understand if this is not going to work for those of you that have pre-ordered and if you would like a refund, we will give it no questions asked. Please advise me with an email to torben@valleygames.ca and I will credit back your card with it or your Paypal account in the next day or so, depending on the amount of email I receive.
We apologize for the problem, we don’t want to produce a game with problems or faulty components and I’m pretty sure you don’t want to buy one. We are really trying to make quality the mark of Valley Games going forward and it sometimes comes at an expense, in this case time.
Thank you for your understanding.

Oh, the humanity! But not totally surprising. Lets blame it on El Nino! I completely understand that these things happen and though I am extremely anxious to get the game I too want a high quality game and not something with faulty components. So NO refund for me, please. I can wait (You guys gotta make a living too.) I hope all goes well.

I agree with Louie: NO refund for me. However, I would blame Sunspots.
If you are going to do something; do it right. Keep communications open, especially when things are not going according to plan.

Delays are understandable, just keep up the communication! (Any word on Big City? That’s what I’m eager for!)

That’s too bad. Does this mean future releases like Liberte and Special Edition will be pushed back as well?

Switching printers will always involve a few growing pains, it’s just something you have to go through, unfortunately. But if the end product is better, that I think everyone involved should be happy in the end.

I agree with the partners here. If you are doing something, do it right. And don´t worry about the time it takes. I´ll wait all the time you need to become myself in the Censor of Rome… and conducct a prosecution against those who hurry you. Cheers from Spain and sorry for my English!

We have some things that we are working on right now that could change the timing on some of the games we have. We will try and announce something in the next month here as to what we are doing with those titles.

That’s the way we feel as well Surya, we have endured some pretty big issues and we need to show everyone that we can rise above them. Time heals everything but sometimes scars remain. Things will be better, we are positive on that!

If I may make a suggestion: I want to strongly push Liberte and Special Edition to the front of the line.

Hello,
I was wondering if there was a more recent update on when the game will be shipped or how everything is progressing.
Thanks
