Republic of Rome – Update Dec 28
Hi there,
Well, the good news is that games are in the USA, the bad news is that they are not in our hands.
When the games landed, they were already marked for “intensive examination”, so we expected that. What we didn’t know was that they were going to be off loaded onto a truck and driven to another facility where they would be stored and inspected, then put back on a truck and brought back to port only for us to then put them on another truck and ship them to our warehouse. Efficiency at it’s finest, I think I know why there is a money problem out there.
They are at this mystery location right now being examined to make sure that cardboard and little wooden dice are not going to cause mass hysteria when they are released into the general populous.
We are hoping that we can have the games into our warehouse early next week, but I will advise as soon as I know where everything is.
Torben

Hi:
I was wondering what about the game orders to Canada. Are they messed up with the other orders as well?
Thanks
John

Ah well, nothing you can do about it. I’m sure someone saw on the shipping manifest that these were games, and likely assumed they would be for kids and thus needed to be inspected for lead paint or what have you. All things considered though, I don’t expect you’ll get them back into your hands until next week at the earliest. Thanks for the updates though, much appreciated.

Hi John,
Yes, all of the games come from the printer together, we don’t break up Canada and the USA so they are all being examined.

Hi there! Do you know when the games arrive Europe? My comic-book guy told me the ship left the States, but he doesn´t know when the games arrive the store.
Anyway, will you publish the rules for download in another language? Maybe Spain or French? I think this will be a good idea to increase your sells!
Thanks again and congratulations for this beautifull game! ^_^!

Hi Miguel,
I guess it all depends on the distributor over there and who will bring it in by plane or by boat. It could be as early as next week or next month. There will be some that bring it over quickly so I would think you’ll see it soon there.
