Canadian deliveries
Hi there,
There is a small delay at the border we are advised where the documentation sent from the shipping folks in the USA is not what the new border security wants. So the shipping people are working with FedEx on what needs to be issued so the packages go through. This should be rectified very quickly and you should receive your game.
Sorry for the inconvenience but it will be solved very quickly.
Torben

Ok, was wondering what was going on – I thought when you said a couple weeks ago you were shipping from your warehouse you meant from Calgary. I’m in Edmonton frothing at the mouth waiting for RoR.
I did send you an e-mail from your Contact Us page and did not receive a response – hopefully there isn’t a bug on the website preventing you from getting mail…

No, not at all, this is why it’s a pain apparently. There are new requirements or something from the border based on us paying for all of the import duties and GST as it enters the country and the paperwork is not what they want.

Torben,
You’re paying the GST on the games, next quarter, you get it back (since you’re a company), then you sell it to canadian and claim the GST on behalk of the government, you send it back to them. Do I have this right?
If yes, that a waste of everybody’s time. Prooving that you have a GST number should be enough, since you’re going to send the money to them when you sell the game. Not to mention that you need to front them the money.
I’ll always be amazed at our government.

I think all governments have their issues, the poor lads down in the USA have worse problems. I just never knew board games could be so dangerous to be under such scrutiny. What do I know eh?

When were the US games shipped? I have yet to get mine. How where they sent? If by US Mail, I may get it as next year’s Xmas present

Can the folks at VG do a blog update for Big City?
I’ve been waiting patiently for this one…
Thanks

Hi Torben,
I participated in the VG pre-order, received my game over a month ago. Yesterday a letter showed up from FEDEX asking for $16.56 for customs, GST and PST. I had though VG was to pay those expenses?
How can we proceed to rectify this situation?
Thanks!
