If you want to talk about excitement well we have it here for you!

At our front door last night was a package that we had been waiting a long time to receive. The box contained the first copy off the printer of D-Day Dice along with all of the promotional materials and extras for you the Kickstarter Supporters. Rik and I spent a fair chunk of the evening wading through all of it and inspecting for any issues.

The list of things we have posted are as follows:

-The ENTIRE collection that the higher level supporters will receive including the bag and tin

-D-Day Dice the basic game

-Atlantikwall Expansion

-Operation Neptune Expansion

-Normandy Expansion

-Got Mit Uns Expansion

-Commission Pack Expansion

-Distinguished Service Pack Expansion

-Badges Expansion

-The Flare Pouch Expansion  (BGG.com only upon release)

-Kickstarter Supporter Bonuses

- 2 bonus maps

- Legendary Supporter Dial

- K-pak (6 bonus cards)

-4 sets of alternate dice (two sets shown)

-The Tin Box

-The Messenger Bag (alternate logo on bag shown)

I feel like I need to add a partridge in a pear tree as well ;)

The game is printing as we have advised in other posts, these were the first copies off the press to make sure everything was fine and there were no further issues. We are happy with the quality of the production and the printing should be complete very soon here. From there everything is shipped that is at the printer, as we talked about earlier, some of the items are already sitting in storage waiting for the rest to arrive.

Please enjoy the pictures! (second page)

Titan HD 1.1 Ranger submitted to App Store

From our developer Kris, the latest on Titan HD…

Hi folks,I’m pleased to announce that Titan HD 1.1 “Ranger” has been submitted to the App Store for release.  This has been a very long testing process, with some truly hairy issues that needed solving, and I’d like to thank all the players who have been patiently waiting for these features.

The feature set for Titan HD 1.1 “Ranger” includes:

- Tutorial now included in-game
- New Hazard and Terrain inspector views
- Strike Details view
- Adjustable game speed
- Improved piece movement animations
- Improved strike animations
- Support for tap+tap gestures to move pieces
- Rules revised for clarity

With these changes, we believe the game is much more accessible to new players, and a more engaging and exciting experience for all.

Next on the roadmap is the Titan HD 1.2 “Hydra” release, which will feature online multiplayer support.  Stay tuned!

We have played through this update quite a few times and the game is really fantastic. The enhancements that Kris has done has made this new version much easier for the new player to understand and much nicer to play as a veteran of the game myself. Well done Kris!
Now I can’t wait to lose to other people, I mean crush my helpless opponents!
Update should be live very shortly.

D-Day Dice Update

Good Day Troops!

Things are moving along really well. Now that the artwork is all sorted out the game is full steam ahead at the printer. We are expecting the printing to be finished around the end of March here, the dice bags are done and ready to ship, the messenger bags are done and enroute, and the tins are already on the way as well.

We were recently at GAMA in Las Vegas where we had a print mock up of the game with the completed artwork. The reaction was amazing, supporters came by to see their names in the rulebook, retailers were excited to see the finished dice and the arwork and everyone was impressed. We were really excited that everyone liked the look of the final product and it gives us confidence that a all of the Kickstarter supporters are going to be very happy when their packages arrive.

We are expecting the boat to land with the games early May, barring any customs issues we will then be able to package up the bundles for all of the supporters. From there the games will make their way through the distribution channels for all the retailers. If you haven’t placed an order with your distributor you will want to as they are going fast.

Due to this timeline, we will NOT be at Origins this year. The reason is we will not sell the game until our Kickstarter supporters have received their games and with Origins starting May 30th we are not confident that everyone will have their stuff. We are really adamant about this and we want you, our supporter, to know we really appreciate what you did for both D-Day Dice and Valley Games.

That’s for now, Rik posted some pictures of the dice bags yesterday, look for those in the Gallery section.

D-Day Dice Donation – Royal Canadian Legion

Friday night, February 24th, on behalf of 2438 wonderful people, Valley Games was able to donate $2438.00 to the Royal Canadian Legion in Turner Valley, Alberta, Canada.

Our promise was to match the amount of pledgers to D-Day Dice with a donation to the Legion and we were very happy to do that last Friday.

We were given the opportunity to have a meal with some great people, share some stories, have a few laughs and learn more about our history as well as the signifigance of the Royal Canadian Legion in our community. The Turner Valley Branch, number 78, just celebrated it’s 83 anniversary and the amount of community projects they help with every year is really quite amazing. We were really impressed with the involvement the Legion has in facilitating and contributing to events in the Foothills.

It was an honour and priviledge to be there and meet folks like Michel Jackson, Wayne Odegard, Malcolm Hughes, Gordon Day, Floyd Schatz, and Bob Lowe.

Thank you so much for having us and we hope to be back soon!

D-Day Dice Tin

You’ve seen the dice, you’ve seen the artwork, you’ve seen the cards, you’ve seen the boards but you haven’t see the TIN!
