Hi there,
Some of you have probably already seen some of the errata posts on BGG but some of you may not have. Here is a link to the Republic of Rome page on our website and there I have the links for the errata info.

First, there is a document with all the misprints that were in the rulebook, next you will see Zero tokens that didn’t get printed on the backs of the 9’s. Then I have another summary sheet there for you to print off as there were supposed to be 2 in the game and not 3 as the contents say.

These minor glitches should not affect your enjoyment of the game and the beauty of it in it’s newest version.
Thank you once again for all of your kind comments and if there are any ammendments to the rules that still have not been mentioned, please advise.

Hi there,
There is a small delay at the border we are advised where the documentation sent from the shipping folks in the USA is not what the new border security wants. So the shipping people are working with FedEx on what needs to be issued so the packages go through. This should be rectified very quickly and you should receive your game.
Sorry for the inconvenience but it will be solved very quickly.

It’s confirmed that Days of Steam is now in the warehouse and will be shipping to distributors right away. For those of you that are unable to get to a FLGS we do have them available on our website at MSRP.
If you do frequent a particular store and they don’t carry this title or any of the other Valley Games titles out there, let them know they are available through most major distributors and if they are having trouble, they can contact us for help.
Enjoy,
Torben
Good news,
We heard last week that our shipment of Days of Steam was to arrive last Friday but with the weather issues down south it may not have arrived. I have a call into our warehouse manager and he is going to check on status of the games arriving.
When they arrive I will advise it here and then those of you that are not able to get to a FLGS will be able to order them here. It does take a couple days to receive the product into inventory apparently so when you order the games it might take a week to ship but will arrive to USA locations pretty quickly after that.
Please let me know if you have any questions here in the comments about it and I can reply here so everyone can see what is going on. Again, I will post here when it is confirmed.

Good Morning,
Preorders are heading out today according to our warehouse manager, due to the weather issues they are experiencing in Atlanta where our warehouse is, they were frozen on Friday and everything was shutdown.
It seems that there are no budgets or equiment down there to remove snow and ice, while it seems a little strange being from Canada, I guess we don’t have air conditioners in too many homes either
It should be all good, most of you will have your games before the end of the week so this isn’t a lengthy delay at all but I thought you should know.

Republic of Rome has finally arrived and is being received as we speak into inventory. That means we are shipping tomorrow and the next day to all the preorder people.
Some of you have been contacted by me with regards to an issue on your order that just came up when the shipping people started compiling the orders. If you can respond as quickly as you can, that would be great and we can get your game out to you.
We had a small printing error that we managed to fix before we sent out the games, unfortunately it wasn’t discovered until the game was actually printed but we caught it none the less. There are no zeros on the backs of the 9 tokens, this can make it a bit challenging in a couple areas to display the correct number you want. So we had the printer make small punchboards with 9 and 0 tokens and these are going to be something you can use to replace the other tokens in the game. The punchboards are separate so we will include one of those in each delivery so make sure to look for it.
If you don’t get one or don’t find it or forget to look, we can always send you another one no problem. Just let me know and I will help you out with that.
Otherwise, please enjoy your game and we thank you again for your continued patience with this process and all the other processes out there that are out of our control.
Regards,
Torben
p.s. the “intensive examination” that was to happen to the games consisted of customs taking the container to a warehouse off site, opening it, opening a couple boxes and closing it back up and sending it back a few days later. Nice eh?
Hi there,
Well, the good news is that games are in the USA, the bad news is that they are not in our hands.
When the games landed, they were already marked for “intensive examination”, so we expected that. What we didn’t know was that they were going to be off loaded onto a truck and driven to another facility where they would be stored and inspected, then put back on a truck and brought back to port only for us to then put them on another truck and ship them to our warehouse. Efficiency at it’s finest, I think I know why there is a money problem out there.
They are at this mystery location right now being examined to make sure that cardboard and little wooden dice are not going to cause mass hysteria when they are released into the general populous.
We are hoping that we can have the games into our warehouse early next week, but I will advise as soon as I know where everything is.

Good Morning,
I just uploaded the rules to BoardGameGeek so they should be available soon there under file links. I will then add a link to the Republic of Rome page on our website as well so you will be able to find it in two places

Hello all,
US Customs has advised that the games need to be inspected. They advised us that the boat is being delayed into port due to back ups in other processes, when it arrives, some containers have been “selected” for examination even before they arrive. Ours was one of those lucky winners.
The process then will be that the ship is unloaded, and as soon as they can, they will drive the whole container into a X-ray machine and examine the contents. When they are satisfied, they will either decide to release it or start opening boxes for a better look. If they leave everything intact, then it should be a quite examination process and it should be on it’s way. If it goes the other way, then we are looking at more time for it to get to us.
In speaking with some other folks in the shipping industry about why boardgames would get selected they advised that there has been a real crack down on toys and games due to the issues from a year ago. That means everything gets inspected that shows as either of those descriptions, especially if it is coming in from China.
I’m sorry we don’t have a better explanation or an exact date of delivery, it could still be in the next week or so but it depends entirely on when they are released. The other issue is that our shipping warehouse closes down for the holidays, like most places of business do at this time of year, so it may be early January for delivery if it doesn’t get there quickly.
We had a similar issue in Dallas recently where we brought in games from Germany for BGG Con, most of you that were there know the amount of times I drove back and forth to the airport in my rent-a-truck to get the games, only to be told that they needed to be X-rayed.
We are trying to get the rules up on the website as well as on the Geek so that folks have a chance to go through them while they wait. Good suggestion Basiliv!
As soon as I hear more I will post it.

We just received news that the shipment is nearing port, we don’t have an exact ETA for it but it should be very soon. When it lands we will announce it and I would think within a couple weeks you should start to see on store shelves.
Thanks for your patience.
